Birth in Los Angeles: California sunshine and one of the world’s strongest passports

A warm ocean, world-renowned hospitals, and a large community in West Hollywood and Glendale. Birthright citizenship for the child — on 30 June 2026 the US Supreme Court confirmed it definitively. However, on 6 August 2026 an executive order against birth tourism was signed — we no longer arrange birth trips. We assist with documents for children who have already been born.

⚠️ What changed on 6 August 2026

An executive order was signed instructing the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security to end birth tourism — entry on a temporary visa with the primary purpose of giving birth. The order allows visas to be revoked, lifetime entry bans to be imposed, and action to be taken against companies selling such trips. SVOY Baby no longer organizes birth trips to Los Angeles. We handle documents for children who are already born, and for those who specifically want to travel for the birth, we present the countries where that is legal and where parents can obtain status: Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.

Key facts about this destination

Los Angeles — California sunshine year-round, the Pacific coast, and world-class medicine. Legendary hospitals operate here — Cedars-Sinai, UCLA, Providence — and a large established community in West Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, and Glendale makes everyday life feel familiar. A child born in Los Angeles automatically receives US citizenship: on 30 June 2026, the Supreme Court definitively confirmed birthright citizenship, upheld by the country’s highest judicial authority.

The U.S. passport is the strongest in the world: visa-free access to more than 180 countries, the right to live and work in America, and the ability to sponsor a green card for parents — but only once the child turns 21. The U.S. is the most expensive destination we offer and the only one that grants no status to parents. We say this openly: if your goal is the strongest passport for your child, a warm climate and the best medical care, Los Angeles is extraordinary; if the family needs status now — we’ll compare it with Brazil and Mexico.

Budget

Documents for the child — 1 500 $

One price for the full package, no surprises or add-ons. Government fees are paid directly to the relevant authority and are not included in our fee — we state the amounts upfront and provide the receipts.

Why we publish our prices — and the market doesn’t

  • We are priced below the market. Happy Baby lists ’American documents $250 + Russian documents $1,300’ — that’s $1,550 for the same thing.
  • We do not sell birth tourism trips. Neither for $15,000 nor for $48,900. The reason is the decree of August 6, 2026 — and it has nothing to do with money.
  • We list government fees separately and transparently. They are small and paid directly to the authority.

Visa and honesty at the border

Giving birth in the US is legal if you enter honestly. You must not conceal your pregnancy or the purpose of your trip: a consular officer may deny a visa if the sole purpose is childbirth and there is no payment plan in place. We prepare a proper application package: verified funds and a confirmed hospital agreement.

It’s a big city, and by car

Los Angeles is spread out, and getting around without a car is difficult. We place you near your chosen hospital and established community infrastructure, and help with transfers and day-to-day logistics.

No parental status granted

The USA is the only destination we offer where the parents of a newborn do not receive any status. The child can only sponsor you from age 21. If your family needs status now, we will honestly suggest Brazil or Mexico.
